Where's the integrity and patriotism?

Recent letters in the Star have praised Rep. Andy Harris for his integrity and patriotism, standing on principle, and keeping his word (a favorite claim by Harris).  In fact, he has not kept his word.
He falsely claims he kept his promises not to touch current seniors' health benefits.  He voted to force seniors in the "doughnut hole" to pay $5,000+ more annually for prescription medications, slash Medicaid relied upon by 50% of seniors in nursing homes, and shorten Medicare's solvency by eleven years.
Harris promised to protect our Chesapeake Bay, yet voted for three bills that would increase pollution and significantly damage our Bay.  He campaigned on creating jobs, yet has done nothing.
Mr. Harris did not compaign on ending Medicare and Medicaid, or holding our country hostage and refusing to increase our debt ceiling and pay our bills, or signing pledges that render him incapable of thinking for himself on important votes, all of which he has done.
Harris refused to support raising the debt ceiling unless the GOP's unworkable balanced budget amendment was passed.  Since he knew it would require lengthy debate and would have no chance of passing by 2/3 majorities in both houses anyway, he was willing for us to default on our debt obligations which would have crashed our economy and economic credibility worldwide.  Such intransigence and casual attitudes about default were prime reasons S&P stated for the downgrade.
Persons with integrity don't break promises, and patriots aren't willing to severely damage our country.
