What's that saying, about letting your mouth write checks that the rest of you can't cash? 

The revelation that President Obama has sometimes cut  a personal check in response to the plight of struggling Americans who write to him, has some conservative hair on fire. FoxNews is probably peering into strapped families’ windows, making sure they don't own a TV, or a cell phone.

Let’s look in President Obama’s check register. 

Support Libyan rebels in defeating Ghadaffi? Check cleared.
Wind down the GOP's war in Iraq? Check cleared.
Prevent the collapse of America's automobile industry and the loss of of thousands of jobs? The last auto workers laid off in the crash are returning to work. A GM green power train assembly line is starting up in Maryland. Check cleared.

Turn an economy, plunging off a cliff, away from total disaster? Check cleared.
Bringing health care to 45 million uninsured Americans, college kids, and children with pre-existing conditions? Check cleared.
Expand veteran's health benefits? Check cleared.
End "Don't Ask: Don't Tell", freeing Americans to serve our country to their greatest ability? Check cleared.
Rein in corporate abuse of consumers with a Consumer Financial Protection Bureau? Check cleared.
Hunt down Osama bin Laden? Boom. Check cleared.

 Neutralize al Quaeda's influence? Payable to Anwar Al-Alawaki. Boom. Check cleared.

He’s accomplished all of the above while Republicans in Congress are sworn, foremost, to assuring the American president’s  failure, regardless of the cost to our country and working people.
