Calling Andy Harris

The House Republican's "Cut, Cap and Balance" exercise, besides wasting time when the debt ceiling deadline is looming, was just plain stupid.  The U.S. spends more than it takes in ONLY when Congress authorizes the spending.  So if Congress wants balanced budgets, we'll get balanced budgets -- without putting the country in an economic straitjacket that would almost certainly send us into another Great Depression.
