Ben Carden, Senator for All

         Senator Ben Cardin has been an excellent representative for the people of Maryland. His priorities are my priorities: working to expand employment opportunities, protecting Social Security and Medicare, making college more affordable for all, and protecting the Chesapeake Bay and our environment. In this hyper-partisan political environment, he works across party lines to get the job done. And because of that, he is respected on both sides of the aisle.

        He’s principled, honest, and hard-working and knows how these economic times are affecting Marylanders. After all, he comes back to his constituents every night.                                                                    I couldn’t disagree more with the Nov. 9 Letter to the Editor in the Star Democrat -- we need more elected officials like Ben Cardin.  He represents me -- and all the rest of the people of Maryland.
